It’s funny how some of the most basic things you have to learn in order to play the cello are also the same things you will likely spend years refining and exploring.

A good bow grip is completely secure and completely comfortable. We have to learn how to develop fingers that are supple and pliant but don’t relinquish any control over the bow.

Here is an exercise that you can practice away from the cello to help build better finger flexibility and control for your bow grip!
